On an automatic sleeve labeling production line, the consistency of the heat-shrinking process directly determines the final aesthetic appeal of the product. Many clients have reported that labels tend to wrinkle or become misaligned after passing through the shrink tunnel; this is typically caused by the following factors:
Mismatched Shrinkage Profiles: Different materials (such as PVC or PET) have distinct temperature ranges for shrinkage. If the temperature gradient within the shrink tunnel is configured incorrectly, it can result in uneven heating.
Bottle Shape and Shrinkage Rate: For bottles with tall necks or irregular shapes, if the selected film material lacks sufficient lateral shrinkage capacity, the label may become loose at the base of the bottle.
Static Electricity Interference: In dry environments, the film roll is prone to generating static electricity, which can compromise the precision of the labeling application.
Taixiang’s Recommendation: We offer our clients a complimentary "Material-to-Bottle" compatibility test. By precisely calculating the required shrinkage ratio for various sections of the bottle, we can recommend the most suitable film thickness and material formulation for your specific needs.
